FireStarter 2

Did you know that 9 out 10 wildfires are caused by human activities? FireStarter 2 gives you the opportunity to start--virtually--one of them.

The idea of FireStarter 2 is to make players aware of the impact of forest fires on their environment.

While you can just watch the forest grow naturally through the years, you can also get involved in destructive or helpful ways.

• Start a fire and see how it spreads and destroys your forest, only to watch it slowly reborn from the ashes
  
• Create clouds to decide where the rain should fall, but watch for thunderstorms when it's getting hot around.
  
• Control rain to fight fire, or just to turn your dry plants green again
• Play with wind to control fire spread direction and clouds movement

What changes from FireStarter 1 ?

Everything! Except the basics of course...

When I made FireStarter during a game jam in 2021, I only had small ambitions for its content, but I truly wanted to tell more about forest ecosystems.

This is why I made FireStarter 2, with enhanced core systems from FireStarter, allowing a more realistic fire behavior, weather, and forest ecosystem.

 FireStarter 2 includes many tweaks and improvements to the core features of FireStarter : 

• Hexagonal terrains with controllable camera
  
• New fire cycle (from the first flame to new sprouts)
• Better fire behavior
• More realistic weather system with  natural clouds and temperature
• Water cycle with fuel moisture and evaporation system 
• Better wind with 360° direction and speed control
• As well as many other Quality Of Life features and tweaks...
